The NFL New Year Begins

Today officially starts the New NFL year, which means teams can begin to sign and trade player. Some trades have already been made and will become official at 4:00 pm EST. That is also when teams can begin to sign free agent players.

Here are the trades that will become official:

• QB Alex Smith (49ers) traded to the Chiefs
• WR Anquan Boldin (Ravens) traded to the 49ers
• WR Percy Harvin traded to the Seahawks
