This first story I'll share is probably the least heartwarming of the three. Recently an ESPN reporter put a picture of a wedding cake that resembled the large defense lineman. Watt saw the picture, got in contact with the reporter and wanted to get the address of the couple so he could send them a wedding gift for being such huge fans of his. When the reporter send Watt the couples address he noticed that it was on the way from the Houston Texans facility and his house. Watt then decided that he would stop by and say hello to the family personally. A simple act of kindness, but many professionals athletes would just pass a picture of them as a wedding cake and say, "oh that's cool," but Watt did more and that is just the beginning of showing Watts character.
The second story will easily make a room collectively say, "AWWWWWW." The story begins with a mom putting a Youtube video of her six year old daughter crying because she couldn't marry JJ.
JJ did find six year old Breanna, met up with her family, and spent some time with her. But that is not all JJ did, he also "proposed" to her during that time. I am sure that just had to make her feel bigger than JJ's pocketbook! JJ later on twitter posted pictures showing the proposal and Thanking all those who helped him find her.
Personally knowing what it can feel like when some one walks into your life and drastically changes it, this last story gave me goosebumps when I first saw it. Its hard for me to express this last story into words so please watch this Youtube clip:
JJ Watt might be one of the best defensive players in the National Football League but he is also one of the best guys off the field. JJ, I may not be a fan of the Houston Texans, but know I will always be a HUGE fan of yours.
