The First One!

I have been thinking about writing a blog for a awhile now. I sit on my chair in my room and watch the NFL Network, the MLB Network, Sportcenter, (everything on ESPN for that matter) The Dan Patrick Show, and the list goes on. As I watch these shows random thoughts and opinions pop into my head about not only the topics they are discussing but other sports related topics that I often feel the need to share and quite often I share a snippet of my thoughts on Facebook and Twitter. However, twitter does not have enough characters for me to express my full thoughts and I feel if I write a lot on Facebook I'll constantly be "that guy."

Here on this blog I now feel comfortable expressing my opinions and thoughts fully and openly because, quite frankly, its mine. Its also, I would think, a more proper location for me to do such a thing. Again on Facebook and Twitter such action is often looked down upon.

On this blog I plan on writing mostly about sports. Being a former D-III college football player, I must say I love my sports. More importantly, I love my REDSKINS and ORIOLES. Although I plan on writing a lot on these two teams, I also plan on covering as many sporting topics that I can. I am also thinking about covering some local high school football games in the upcoming year, just to write about the sport and give myself a challenge I've never experienced before; being a member of the "press." I would also like to mention my college teams a few times and update folks of their games, but I will not be going to much in depth for I do not want to step on the toes of Allen Crowder. Allen is the author over at FerrumFootball.blogspot.com where he covers the Panthers as deeply as he can.

I am thinking about asking a friend about adding some post to this blog, for he can be just as opinionated as I. If he indeed says he would like to, I know his contribution would profoundly impact the quality of "Hitting A Touchdown," or as I am already like to say H.A.T.

Well I think that is all I have to say for now.

PEACE!
